Heya Minecrafter,
The time has come: Our first TheLab mode, ItemChaos, is getting a update!
The game mode has been upgraded to Minecraft version 1.21.11 and comes with a whole host of new features, improvements, and adjustments. In addition, ItemChaos will be removed from TheLab as part of this update and will be playable as a separate mode in the future.
Thanks to the version update, ItemChaos now runs on a newer version of Minecraft, 1.21.11. This means one thing above all else: more items, more possibilities, and even more chaos in your rounds. At the same time, the update also lays the foundation for future content that will further expand the mode.
A large part of the update revolves around new modifiers that change each round in different ways and provide fresh gameplay fun. For example, there is now a modifier that makes RandomEvents occur much more frequently, one that suddenly makes all players twice as big, and one with rising lava, where lava appears on the map right from the start and continues to rise throughout the round.
Existing modifiers have also been adjusted: With the “Fragile Blocks” modifier, automatically destroyed blocks are now dropped. The “Extension” modifier, on the other hand, has been removed.
Of course, there are also new surprises in Random Events. In the Doppelganger Event, for example, a mannequin with a player's skin appears that can be attacked by everyone. In addition, a tool upgrade event has been added, in which a random tool is upgraded - or you get one if you don't have one yet. In the “Wizard” event, you'll receive items for enchanting, including an enchantment table, XP bottles, and lapis lazuli.
Other improvements
In addition, new achievements have been added that you can unlock while playing. Perfect for those who like to set themselves additional goals or simply want to collect everything.
There have also been some technical changes. The detection of Spleef kills has been revised to make it more reliable.
Another fix ensures that mob spawners work correctly again, while natural mob spawning remains disabled. In addition, there are various bug fixes and optimizations that make the overall gaming experience smoother.
We hope you enjoy the new ItemChaos update - jump in and give it a try! The best way to let us know what you think is directly in the forum or on Discord.
Best regards,
