JumpLeague | Run & Rise Update

Hey-ya Minecrafters,

With the Run & Rise update, JumpLeague is getting a major update! Our goal was to further develop the mode while preserving the original concept that everyone loves.
The individual parkour courses are being replaced by a new, shared parkour course where all players are on the move at the same time. This creates new dynamics and further opportunities for exciting changes. The loot system and scoring system have also been adjusted accordingly.

» Shared Parkour

Although the scoreboard shows how much of the parkour you have completed, it is difficult to draw conclusions about your progress using simple percentages. From now on, you will be able to see every player on the same parkour you are jumping. Collisions between players and PvP are disabled so that everyone can jump in peace.

This not only allows all players to track their progress in comparison to other players, but also enables them to see the correct technique in action from other players if they encounter problems.

Won't the course be too crowded to concentrate on your jumps?
No! Similar to the lobby, you can use an item to choose whether you want to see all players, players outside a 5-meter radius, or no players at all.

» Module Destruction

But that's not all! In addition to the fact that all players now jump on one course, the length of time they jump has also changed. Previously, each player had as much time as they needed to complete the course until the time ran out or a player completed the last module. Now, two things have changed that affect the duration of participation in the parkour.

Two minutes after the start of the mode, the modules begin to collapse. The collapse starts at the first module and continues towards the end. Anyone caught up in this collapse is not only eliminated from the jumping phase, but also from the entire round.

There is also a small change when reaching the goal. There is now a minimum round time of three minutes. When a player reaches the goal, the round only ends after ten seconds if three minutes have already passed.

» Automatic Looting & Equipment

Also, the way loot is collected needs to change, since all players are on the same course. It's important that all players get their own loot, even though there's only one Ender Chest.
But that's not all. Some chests are well hidden, which is why the Ender Chests now glow. However, this effect disappears once you've looted them.

Backpack

It gets even better! Your equipment, i.e. armor and weapons, will be automatically equipped and replaced when you obtain better ones. It is also important to note that when you right-click an Ender Chest, its contents will automatically be added to your inventory. A backpack can be opened via the hotbar or with the command /backpack and is automatically filled with the exchanged equipment items.

This not only keeps your inventory better organized, but also makes it easier for teammates to get equipment that you don't need yourself.

» Checkpoints

With the collapse of the modules, the checkpoint system must also be adjusted. Since it no longer makes sense to be automatically reset to the last checkpoint, as it may already have been destroyed, you will now spawn on the last block before falling into the void. However, you will be frozen for one second. The item for resetting to the last checkpoint still exists and can be used alongside the new item for resetting to the last block.

» End of the Round and Scoring

The new update means that rounds can end for players before the PvP phase, which also affects the scoring system. Points are now also awarded for completing modules or for other achievements:

Performance Points
Kill (every Kill, not just the Final Kill) 20
Module completed 20
Goal reached 40
Goal reached without any failures 40
Won the round 50

But that's not all! Deathmatch no longer ends with the beacon when time runs out, but with a shrinking WorldBorder that forces players to fight each other.

We hope you like the update and wish you lots of fun trying out the new features! Be careful not to get caught up in module decay!
As always, we welcome feedback on the update and suggestions for new features in the Forum or on our Discord server.

With kind regards,
Your GommeHD.net Team
